Arise and Shine Foundation Phase I Program Rescue, Recovery, and Restoration The Phase I Program of Arise and Shine Foundation is the first and most critical stage of our Bethel Recovery Program, designed to provide a safe, loving, and Christ-centered environment for vulnerable women and girls who have experienced sexual exploitation, abuse, trafficking, addiction, violence, homelessness, or other life-controlling challenges. Our mission is to help every participant experience healing, restore their dignity, and discover God's purpose for their lives. Inspired by Isaiah 61 and Isaiah 60:1, we believe that every life can be transformed through the love of Jesus Christ.
During Phase I (12–18 months), each participant receives comprehensive care that addresses their physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. We provide safe accommodation, nutritious meals, clothing, medical care, personal hygiene supplies, transportation for essential appointments, and a supportive family-like environment where they can begin rebuilding their lives with hope and security.
Our recovery program includes individual counseling, trauma-informed care, emotional support, and life coaching to help participants process past experiences, overcome fear and shame, and develop healthy relationships. Daily routines are intentionally structured to encourage discipline, responsibility, and personal growth while creating stability and peace.
Spiritual restoration is at the heart of our program. Participants take part in daily devotions, worship, prayer, discipleship, and mentoring, allowing them to experience God's unconditional love, forgiveness, and healing. Through biblical teaching, they discover their true identity, value, and purpose as children of God.
In addition to recovery, participants begin developing practical life skills through basic computer education, English language learning, financial literacy, cooking, housekeeping, handicrafts, art and creative activities, health education, and personal development classes. These activities help build confidence and prepare them for greater independence in the future.
Our caring team walks alongside every participant with compassion, accountability, and encouragement, recognizing that recovery is a journey rather than a destination. Throughout Phase I, we work to restore self-worth, rebuild confidence, strengthen character, and lay a solid foundation for a transformed future.
By the completion of Phase I, participants are expected to demonstrate emotional stability, spiritual growth, healthy daily habits, renewed hope, improved life skills, and readiness to move into Phase II: Empowerment and Sustainable Living, where they continue their journey toward education, employment, leadership, and long-term independence.
"He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners." — Isaiah 61:1
